Nani’s Latest Film Clears Censor With ‘A’ Certificate; Advance Bookings Gain Strong Momentum

Sep 22, 2026  ·  2 min read

Nani’s new film is right around the corner—just a few days to go, and you can really feel the excitement in the air. Everything’s set: the censors have signed off, prints have made their way overseas, and advance bookings keep climbing. The big day is September 24, when it finally hits theaters.

CBFC gave the movie an “A” certificate on September 21, but not before asking for about 21 changes. Most of them involved dialing back the violence, cutting some bloodier scenes, and swapping out certain dialogues and cultural references. One notable edit replaced an image with a crow and the National Flag. Now, the film clocks in at about 173 minutes—yep, just under three hours.

Nani, as usual, had something cheeky to say about the rating: “Guidelines say A. But the content says Universal. READY.” So while it’s officially adults-only on paper, the team insists the emotional side of the story is for everyone—not just hardcore action fans.

But honestly, what’s grabbing everyone’s attention right now is the ticket rush. Advance bookings are nuts—especially in the Nizam region, where opening day pre-sales look set to hit the 10–12 crore mark. Over a lakh tickets flew off the counters there in no time. By September 22, after four days of advance booking, the number hit 72,000 tickets and collections were already between 7 and 7.85 crore, including reserved seats. For opening day, tens of thousands more tickets are already snapped up and the overseas response looks solid, too. North American premieres alone have already sold $500,000 to $600,000 worth of tickets and it’s still ticking up. Prints arrived overseas like clockwork, permissions for Telangana premieres are all sorted, and some venues have even introduced new, higher pricing. All together, word is, the film’s pre-release earnings have crossed 100 crore—so expectations are sky-high.

And here’s what’s wild: there’s no regular trailer. The filmmakers didn’t bother with a full theatrical trailer. Instead, they built up hype through teasers, music, and a little bit of suspense around Nani’s role as Jadal. Anirudh Ravichander’s soundtrack is everywhere—“Aaya Sher” and “Yeshanagula” are racking up plays online and keeping people hooked. Because there’s no long trailer, most of the story is still under wraps, leaving fans curious and speculating.

Nani leads as Jadal, a man who stands up for his people and land. The promos promise plenty of action and conflict, but it also looks like there’s a strong emotional thread, especially the bond between mother and son. The cast is solid—Kayadu Lohar, Mohan Babu, Raghav Juyal, Sonali Kulkarni, and Sampoornesh Babu all play important roles.

With the film releasing in multiple languages and advance ticket sales breaking records, these last days before release feel intense. The real test comes September 24, when audiences finally see it for themselves. For now, though, with Nani’s bold transformation, the music on everyone’s lips, that gutsy no-trailer move, and ticket sales through the roof, this film is the talk of the town heading into release week.
